About the DePaul Faculty Council

Our Mission

Faculty initiative and participation in the governance of the University is a cornerstone in the vitality of DePaul as a community. The faculty have primary governance responsibility for academic and scholarly activities and faculty personnel matters within the University. In addition, they have participatory or advisory responsibilities for many other University-wide issues. The Faculty Council is the authorized body in which faculty are ensured full and equal participation in carrying out their responsibilities of governance on these University-wide issues.

Dedicated to DePaul’s mission as a Catholic university, the Faculty Council aims to promote and exemplify the values of involvement and service as we work to facilitate faculty participation in the creation of policies that continually improve and invigorate the University.
